Full Moon, Teaching, Intention, and Oral Delight

Hello beautiful beings,

I write you tonight on the last full moon of 2020, clear and cool outside on a beautiful Texas night. Tonight over on Instagram I pulled the Two of Sword on the Winter Waite tarot deck as my #CardOfTheDay, which has left me reflecting on the places we are perhaps frozen in place in making decisins, the places where hard choices are being made in our lives – some which we have enough information on, and others we need to take our blindfolds off to see something new that was not there when the debate first crossed our path. After today’s various coaching calls amd conversations with friends it seems fitting – so many people I know have found 2020 to be a crucible of spirit that has left decisions on the plate.

The turn of the new year is just around the corner, and though it is just another day (after all, the universe doesn’t follow the Georgian calendar), it is symbolic for many of us. Some people are using this as a chance to set intentions for the coming year, and others are using it as a marker to look back and remember those who we have lost. Over on Patreon my folks who are part of the “Let’s Chat” and “Let’s Connect” levels have been sending me their words or tarot cards for next year as I prep for this coming weekend to make art for the year ahead that will be on my altar for 2021. Patrons in general are sending me their addresses so I can send all of them postcards come the new year (and you can get one too if you are part of the program by the end of the year, enjoying weekly resources and more).

The question becomes what you will make our of a new year. My year turned on the Solstice, but symbolically it is mirrored for me. This is my 8 of Pentacles year, something I will dive deeper into when I share my art in the next newsletter. But part of that includes honing my vision as a teacher, hiring a personal assistant next year, diving into conscious solitude as I move back to Denver, and focusing into projects and prayer as I return to the Temple Project. A piece of this is already present in the January events I have planned – a discussion I’m doing on divination on Midori’s Patreon, classes on the sacredness of childlike play, the power of body transformation for trans folk, the potential present in taboo roleplaying, and even going back to teaching kink 101 in an accessible way

I’m excited. I’m nervous. I’m fueled up and looking forward to setting me feet solidly on the ground so that I can refine my craft – the craft of teaching, the craft of oracular work, the craft of coaching, the craft of writing, the craft of… me.

Do you set intentions for the new year? Or use it as a marker of some sort? I’m curious to hear your system for this time of year!

Over the next 9 days, come join me at:

In our last discussion on teaching skills we had topic discussion desires, so let’s keep going! The requests for this month will start with tools for hosting successful online discussions, both peer-to-peer and facilitator led, as each has their unique opportunities, tools, and challenges. Then we will turn to how-to demonstrations both online and in person, such as gaining consent (from audiences and demo partners), handling technology, and figuring out how to show the thing to the room rather than just yourself. Lastly, as time allows, we will look at handling audiences, from teaming up (rather than only fighting) with “experts” in the room, making sure multiple voices are heard, and looking at our own skill for different room sizes.
This discussion is about education by adults, for adults, and does not address teaching for youth. The presenter teaches as a sexuality, spirituality, and gender educator, and thus examples from the presenter and attendees may include examples of kink, ritual, or other age 18+ topics. A $1-25 donation is encouraged for the Weekly Wednesday series, but none is required to attend.

Cartomancy, the art of divining the future using cards, is often painted from an unconsciously racist, sexist, heterocentric, monotheistic lens… but is an amazing tool when we acknowledge these issues then make the tool our own! Let’s name some of those issues, then discuss tarot cards, oracle decks, diverse other options, and how they can be used in your life. Bring your questions and curiosity, and let’s see how this genre of divination can be used in your life.

Somethings having fun is about more than having fun. Our hearts can open up to possibilities we never knew before, and our minds are awaked to points of transformation and beauty. In this discussion we will explore how we use fun, laughter, games, playfulness, and joy are used to access our spiritual paths, and in what way we have experienced the sacred through moving beyond the scripted access dogma often prescribes. As sexuality and spirituality teacher Del Tashlin has said, “we do not have to be solemn to be serious,” and play can be very serious stuff indeed. Let’s find play together, and expand our spirit along the way. A $1-25 donation is encouraged for the Weekly Wednesday series, but none is required to attend.

Deemed illegal or immoral in some cultures while seen as commonplace or a cultural norm in others, oral to genital stimulation is a tool for erotic expression that there has many techniques to explore. Whether you see it as third base or the most intimate type of passion, let us explore the double (or triple) standards based on gender and genital configuration (from diverse cisgender male and female to trans bodies), and the medical realities present in this sort of play. Each of us has favorite skills and approaches too, so we will share descriptions of skills with each other (no live demonstration or nudity during the discussion), talk about diverse anatomy and interests, and dive into our passions (and turn-offs) concerning this sort of sexual activity.

I also have other classes and events coming up in the next month or so that you may be interested in:

To check out other classes and intensives, visit my Upcoming Appearances page to learn more. From there you can sign up for my free newsletter as well. To enjoy further free material from me, consider joining  me over on Patreon :)

Much love to you all and see you soon!

Lee Harrington
