April Newsletter (Denver, Houston, and Spring Joy)
Hello beautiful beings!
Spring has sprung, and the sun is tickling the air waking flowers from their slumber. Having just gotten back from Austin, I can say that the blue bonnets are in bloom. Their violet, royal blue, and white are covering hillsides leading to Dr. Robert Rubel (author of “Master/slave Mastery: Updated handbook of concepts, approaches, and practices”) and the impeccable Goddess Indigo to drive all over the region to find beautiful places to take photographs together the day before I taught a weekend of power exchange and gender classes in the area.
We’ve also left Mercury in Retrograde, which is such a breath of fresh air. Perhaps you, like me, have experienced miscommunication with others, tech issues, and other communication challenges. The weight being lifted off has felt like a new lease on possibilities, and having gotten back home I have found that interpersonal connections are clearing, blossoming, diving deeper. What a gift.
Recent times have also left me inspired to write poetry again, which for those of you who have read my collection "On Starry Thighs: Sacred and Sensual Poetry," you know that this is an endeavor of the heart. It is satisfying to feel words pouring out of my fingers again after a winter that held back from the page.
Coming up this month, I’m actually coming back to Texas! In less than two weeks I’ll be in Houston teaching, leading a discussions, and doing two one-day intensives. Thursday April 11th I will be creating a space to dive into the Queerness of Magic, while Friday April 12 will be a chance to explore the amazing variety of restraint and restriction possible with using Clothing Bondage. For the rope bondage enthusiasts I’ll be leading a Saturday intensive on Rope Creativity and Innovation, while Saturday will hold a chance to explore Connection, Breath, and Power in Rope.
For individuals on my Patreon, expect this month to have a theme of relationships and power dynamics as the blossoming provide inspiration. Remember that for individuals who are contributing $20 or more, we have a private Slack channel where you can ask questions or have conversation, appearing straight to my phone, where we can have dialogue as a group no matter where I am. Slack is a social media platform used for closed groups (often by businesses), and has both online and phone-based platforms.
