Fine Cigars
I enjoy a fine cigar.
A cigar is a commitment.
There is no "popping out for a quick smoke".
You commit to a cigar, and you're there for at least 30 minutes, if not 2 hours.
Today, after popping by UPS, Strider and I headed over to Nashua, NH to Castro's Back Room, a local cigar/tobacconist shop there. We lit up a pair of Gran Habano Corojo (mine short, his long), and kicked back to watch sports, talk art, drink cream soda (I have a weakness) and root beer (his soda of choice)... and just *be*. Great conversations, great cigars, and a fabulous pencil artist there who wants me to model for him next time I come through the NE.
There is a lingering taste, burnt presence and my lips just slightly smoky still an hour and a half later.
I do not waste my time on cheap tobacco.
I am not a smoker.
But I enjoy a fine cigar, a good glass of red wine, and a long talk with friends...
