Every galosh is a glass slipper waiting to Samba

I love that line... by William S... wish I could remember his full last name.I have an obsession with the dadaist and surrealist movements in art. For a while I was even using Richard Huelsenbek's name as a nom de plume, and I have always had a love-hate affair with the concept of Salvador Dali. What pushed me over the edge from interest to earnest obsession with the two intertwined movements was reading the proto-surrealistic novel Les Chants de Maldoror by Isadorra Ducasse, aka Le Comte de Leatremont. So I'm currentlyr easing "Surreal Lives: The Surrealists 1917-1945"... and am up to about 1920 or so. Ish, it goes back and forth a bit as it hops around Europe and New York- I hadn't realized JUST how short lived Cabaret Voltaire had been- ah, but to have been in Zurich during the war! Einstein, Lenin, Tristan Tzara... all within a few blocks of one another?A few lines popped out at me, so I thought i would share them:"Liberation without laughter soon gets bloody"- Georges Ribemont-Dessaignes (a referance esp. to post WW1 Berlin... but wow it applies to the Middle East and more today)"Dada is life with neither bedroom slippers or parallels"- M.Antipyrine, aka TzaraJensermann sein eigner FussballThis... is perhaps the funniest line I have seen in ages. It translates as both "Every Man His Own Football" and "Every man Can Kick His Own Head In"... it was the original title of the Berlin Dada movement's magazine, which was banned for it's extreme communist sympathies.Okay, enough art geeking- back to editing porn.
