As the art goes up

Aiden and I moved into this apartment in May.  Every few weeks it feels more like our place, and less like a storage unit where we happen to have a bed.The first round of bookshelves went in, and the collections were combined. The kitchen was organized in a way we could both find and enjoy the space. Our full-wall bookshelves went in, spice racks were hung, and kimono went up in the stairwell. The altar supplies were sorted and organized. Our over-bed sex toy supply cabinet, and all the upper shelving went in.But today, 2 pieces of art were hung in the livingroom, 2 in the temple, 1 in the bedroom, and 1 in the bathroom.  A plan is in place for between the windows, and for over the bed, after Aiden has had a paycheck or two. It... feels amazing.  What is more amazing is that when we hit a bump today- we actively worked together through it.Me: I am really concerned that you won't like my tastesHim: I am really concerned that you will override my desires as my dominantMe: When we hit a bump, can we make a game of it?Him: When you feel hurt, can you share it?It's... breathtaking. The art goes up, in my home and in my heart.  Before the housewarming in October, we'll have more art up, the library organized, and the ebay project finished.  Oh yes, so very much here to ebay, and the Boy is an ebay wizard.  I am in awe.
