Ancient Recognition
When you find the person that you love, an act of ancient recognition brings you together. It is as if millions of years before the silence of nature broke, your lover's clay and your clay lay side by side... There is an awakening between you, a sense of ancient knowing. Love opens the door of ancient recognition. You enter. You come home to each other at last.-from Anam Cara, John O'Donoghue
We danced, and said goodbye. Dawn had broken and the spell faded and I let the tears fall. Until the next dance, if there is a next dance...
you are the hopper and dreamerthe truth-teller and oracle
the wise man staring out from behind a mask of youth
-from Golden-Eye Nights Part 1
You recognized in me someone else, and I supplanted Golden Eyes and fallen blood upon you... unless we truly were what one another saw? What each other longed for? Water again lapped at my body as your fingers dug in and I wanted to cry, wanted to cry. I become more of my water body every day. I breathe in. I sink my roots in the ground. The fire of my heart burns intensly... but my water body pulls with the tides of my desires.
you spin into my mind a stranger until i meet your eyes drawn once more knowing you are truth and beauty hidden behind golden eyes that are now afflicted with a blight that you have no say over that was given to you by someone now gone
in a perverted twist of fate you have come to me now when the stars align against us to end it all and change the world
nothing can change the world
what are we to do in the end as the sun rises and none shall remember our own deeds
when the dust settles and our bodies are laid to waste under a sky unknown to us with foreign gods and unknown stars that pull upon a new destiny
none shall remember anything that they were taught
-from Golden-Eye Nights part 3
When we were turned from the door I was avoided outside, and almost left. When games went too far we were almost asked to leave. Things happen how they do for a reason.
I truly believe that.
Until next time we dance... we play the what-if game. We acknowledge recognition.
The what-if game is not about day dreams- it is the concious effort of our souls to manifest alternate worlds where dreams are in fact reality. It is a sense of recognition for our desires. It is spiral staircases and dance floors, bodies bending in the wind. It is taking a moment to believe in possibilities.
