Blessings, Sacred Kink, Switching, and Silliness

Hello beautiful beings,

What a whirlwind of a week, wow! I taught 4 classes, was interviewed for a documentary on kink community, saw coaching clients, had the first meeting with my new personal assistant, and managed to get time in to see a friend. I’m tired just writing about it. No, actually I feel really blessed and energized, able to take on some challenges that life is presenting right now with more patience and calm (plus having friends be game to talk with me during an anxiety moment helps too).

This week I also had a chance to do something deeply personal that I have thought about for over 20 years. There are some things that are too intimate for the page, but I also feel called to share the notion that even if something takes time, it can still manifest in our lives. After it came into my life, it led to me having reflections about my former husband because he and I had tried to make the thing happen years ago, and my heart and body remembered. The gratitude that can come up years later is so beautiful, and I feel deeply blessed by it all. 

Meanwhile, in pure silliness, this tee-shirt from Toxic Femme came into my life. I keep laughing about it. Queen of Wands, as a tarot reader and fan of Hitachi vibrators… it’s just perfect. Coming up the end of the month are three amazing events I am participating in over one weekend, and two of them close their registration on April 18th! The first is Thrive BDSM & Mental Health Conference  (April 23rd-25th), a BDSM and mental health conference where I will be MCing the event opening and leading a discussion on roleplaying and mental health. The other event is Waking Persephone (April 24th) , which is a 1-day immersive journey into queer and magical experience (and a fundraiser for Trans Lifeline) where I am leading “Our Journeys of Authentic Gender. “That same weekend is also Stone & Stang, a pagan event for men who love men, where I will be teaching my Sacred Kink class.     For many people in swinger, BDSM, fetish, and Leather spaces, they are there to get their freak on and have a fun time. There are others of us though for whom our eroticism and kink are a doorway to the divine or our higher self. Let us look at what it is like to be spiritual journeyers in these spaces, the ethics around using spaces others are having a simple good time in as our temples, as well as how we can craft conscious possibilities in dungeons, bath houses, swingers clubs, rope dojos, and more. After all, there are also people who show up for the slap-and-tickle who end up having glimpses of enlightenment in these sometimes-unexpected spaces – so why not do so with eyes wide open. 
    A $1-25 donation is encouraged for the Weekly Wednesday series, but none is required to attend.
