Shop til' I get blisters...
I now have a new look- I call it Rockabilly Glam.
So, after sleeping with Lord Byron (a 5 year old basset hound who cuddled in the nook of my knee all night on the futon at Prometheus'), Prometheus' Lady dropped me off at Easton Town Center. Easton is one of those malls that is built like owntown disney- streets but no cars. Water fountains. Malls with outside access, and a main mall building with a movie theatre inside. Very swank. I got there at 9am, and everything opened at 10am... when I went to Victorias Secret to buy new undies and cancel my card, and then went to the Info booth to have mi Madre and mi Padre each call in gift cards for me to shop with.
The purchases?
Jeans from GAP
$200 in makeup from MAC (plus a free gift from them of a makeup bag and sample stuff)
Belt
Black Wicker Cowboy hat with sculls and crossbones leather hat band
Black skirt
Converse High tops and Hello Kitty socks from Hot Topic
I Love nerds t-shirt and socks from random shop
bra and 8 pairs undies (some practical, some sexy)
2 shirts and a cover from Forever21
Lunch (Chinese food)
Sports bag and yoga pants from The Locker Room
Angels&Demons Novel (Barnes&Noble)
Hard to believe that that is all... I spent almost 6 hours shopping. I ended up returning a skirt and shirt to Hot Topic so I could afford the jeans, which was a technical nightmare. My passport is in the mail. I have a way to get $ for the week. All my crds have been canceled and are being reissued.
Tonight I'll be doing dinner and movies with Moose and Baldric, and maybe late night drinks with a hot butch dyke. Toe nails are drying. I was supposed to be at a shoot right now, but the photographer never gave me a location- I'm very bummed... really wanted to shoot with him.
I've remade myself, and feel very comfy in the new clothes- they are very very ME. I looked like something out of Vogue as I stared in the mirror: tight jeans, flowy sheer top in green and brown swirls, cowboy hat, rhinestones, black bra, big diva sunglasses...
Shopping and a full day of effectively alone time gave me lots of time to exist and reflect... which I've needed.
