Feeding the Belly, Feeding the Soul
Today I bought art.I fell in love with the work of Emerson Matabele, whose work reminds me of a more intimate Steve McCurry. You can find the work here. He's an amazing artist, and darn nice guy. I bought a limited edition sepia tone print of Prophet for myself... and it was worth every penny. It will be going up in my office. It takes my breath away. I got 3 other prints as presents for people... I had them all shipped home. What show was I at? Paradise City in Marlboro, Mass. It was amazing. I wish I had the money to have spent a few thousand there... I could have done so with ease.Afterwards, Strider and I met up with Strider's Nephew and his nephew's lover at G Willikers for damn fine ribs, great conversations, and fabulous company. His nephew almost has me swayed to get a IPod Photo.Back here, I've spent the rest of the evening editing and sorting pictures from the Women of the Camarilla Calendar. I'm very pleased thus far. I just finished editing the calendar B&Ws of Hanah Vaughn, and they turned out delicious. I plan on working on WW rights stuff first, then working on personal stuff, and will be getting all the CDs of images shot thus far out by around Christmas/Yule.Art fills the soul. I feel blessed, and beautiful, and truly inspired.
