A Week in Wins
Oftentimes, we dance through the world with the shroud of shoulds and the mirror of missed opportunities shining back at us.Today, I am re-starting my weekly attempt at posting my Wins. Things that are awesome. Things that were good. No "but" comments. Just that which is - even if what I have is "I had an asthma-free week"- that is awesome :) If I were in Toronto, I would be joining my friend Darren for "Awesome Brunch" - which is basically wins, over brunch. So...May 7-13, 2013
- I painted my bedroom and it is such a beautiful color of deep red, that makes the colors in the linens pop.
- The Gorgonzola cheese I bought at Eataly was so delicious.
- It felt so sumptuous re-watching The Pillow Book, a movie I completely blame Catherynne Valente and her Dimitri in my love for, for introducing me to it.
- Thinking of Dimitri, I feel so blessed for getting to have dinner with him, and having him inform me of the difference between Italian and NY Sicilian tiramisu, along with discussions of faith, love, work, life and more.
- Sample pics from More Shibari You Can Use went out to models. You heard it, the project is back under works, with me booking a writing retreat for later this summer to work on it!
- I made home-made guacamole that totally rocked.
- There is a cute boy flirting with me online.
- French deserts from the UAE taste fantastic.
- Having my dog, Stitch, meet new dogs from the neighborhood.
Life has had far more twists and turns... but that is not the job of Wins. The job of Wins is to speak of wins. So - there we go. Wins for the week :)
