Occupy Wallstreet Demands?

Currently, there are thousands of people amassed downtown in New York, as part of the Occupy Wallstreet movement/protest.  All over the country, supporting marches/protests/movements have erupted- from Boston to Los Angeles, San Francisco to Indiana, Maine to Florida.  It has moved international with events happening in London, Prague, Cork, and even in Slovenia. Hundreds of people have been arrested, if not thousands at this point. I am moved by the visibility to issues of bank reform, financial desperation of the people, and anti-big-government bailouts/tax breaks being brought to the attention of the world. Transcending Boundaries Keynote – VIDEO

On Saturday, November 20th, it was my absolute delight to get to deliver the keynote speech for the Transcending Boundaries Conference, in Worcester, MA.  This amazing conference was a three-day event with both academic and profoundly personal conversations ranging in topics from Asexuality to Bisexuality, Kinky to Polyamorous, Transgender to Intersex to Genderqueer… and all the spaces in-between and beyond.  Their topic this year was “Intersections”, and thus, when I was invited to give the Keynote Speech, I had the delightful and somewhat terrifying opportunity to find a message that might meet them all… and thus I started with Organic…

May You Be Covered in Dust and Leather

Last night I learned of a prayer for Rabbinical students from times long ago from the amazing Dyland Richards, my house guest last night on his way to a Franciscan Monastery for a religious event (I love the variety of humans in my world).
