Rates and Fees
Rates and Fees FAQ
What is your fee for teaching?
My usual rates are $195-395usd per class (up to three hours- intensives count as multiple time blocks). However, I appreciate groupings of classes (such as a series of classes at a university, or an intensive weekend of education, etc), and thus am happy to discuss discounts for them, such as $800-1600usd for a weekend of 5 classes.
In addition to my fee, I require travel and accommodations, and in some instances, materials provided by the local group for classes that require them. I am happy to discuss types of accommodation, and do not require being put up in 5 star hotels
But you said usual fee…
That’s right. If I am designing something completely custom for you our your group, or if I am doing a weekend intensive, or if I have to hire a model, bring in support staff, etc., there will be additional fees. For example, the Delving Into Power weekend has me teaching for over 15 hours in one weekend with no serious breaks for me, plus involvement throughout the evenings as well, and thus I ask $1300-2500usd for that weekend (which includes cost of books for each student, pins, etc).
What’s with the sliding scale?
Some groups are just getting started, or have very tight budget constraints. Thus, I only *require* the first number, my guarantee. But some groups or individuals are able to pay higher on the scale, or stuff goes amazing, ticket sales go well, or you realize I was worth more. Fabulous. Then you can pay at the “this would be a delightful amount to go home with” end of the scale. I expect a degree of transparency- if I teach to a packed house, and go home with only my guarantee, I would like to know why that is.
Where would you be traveling out of and how much does that cost?
I am based in Phoenix, Arizona. However, I am on the road about 2 weeks a month. Thus, where I will be traveling from may vary. I am happy to help you find the most reasonable airfare. I do not drive, at all, so understand that you may have to provide travel to and from airports as well if I do not have associates in that region. But let me help you find the best rates- I have travel magic, and have been known to find cross-country airfare for around $300usd.
Do I get you exclusively?
If you pay for my exclusivity, or provide me with enough work in your area to make it worth my while, I am happy to offer exclusivity. Normally, however, I reserve the right to arrange non-competing arrangements before or after your booking in the same region. For example, a non-competing project would be lecturing on transgender issues (assuming I’m not doing trans classes for you, and if I am, fill in rope bondage or shamanism) at a local university, or doing a stage show at a local drag bar, or private one on one classes. Expected exclusivity requires an additional $150 on my guarantee per class. One on one classes that are of similar topics to what I am teaching for you will be cleared by you (but not the student name) in advance, and I will likely require that they attend the class I am doing for you
How much notice do you need to book a class?
2-12 months. It entirely depends upon availability. If you go to my calendar:
http://www.PassionAndSoul.com/calendar
and scroll ahead to future months, you will see bookings with ?s on them. Those are tentative, unconfirmed. They may be available- ask me. Some months, as you can see, are busier than others
I rarely do bookings for more than one person or organization in a day, but feel free to ask if you feel there may be extenuating circumstances. Just because a day is not booked does not mean it is available- I need the occasional day off.
Do you require a deposit when booking?
50% of guarantee and/or airfare (and visa if out of North America) paid and in my hand (or email). Once this is done, the penciled-in date goes from being a ? to being solid
So these rates apply for private lessons too?
Yes. I am not concerned on whether I am teaching one person, a couple, a small group, or an audience of 400- as long as I know which it is in advance. Some one on one classes require extra research and/or customization, in which case additional fees may apply. However, if that is the case, know you will go home with plenty of resources, homework, new skills, and a program that was custom designed for your needs.
Are we able to choose the workshops you give?
Absolutely! I have a list of my currently designed classes here:
http://www.PassionAndSoul.com/educator
But I also design new stuff all the time. If I am designing new material, even if it is on my “Under design” list, please know that I need at least 3 months notices so that I have time to deliver that new class with excellence. I do LOVE getting commissions though- seriously. It is where many of my new classes come from. But I am not an expert on everything, and for example I have 5% skill set in single tails and thus have no plan to ever teach a class on the topic
But ask away, you never know, I could have a rabbit hidden in my hat collection!
If you don’t know what you want- let’s talk. I’m happy to hear all about your or your groups needs, and recommend ideas to you based on those needs. If I can not offer a topic for some reason, I have a database of other sexuality and spirituality educators internationally that I can draw upon to make recommendations. I can also help you design your event, hire other educators, create your unique experience, and more.
Do we need to hire demo models for you?
That depends entirely on the class. Sometimes, I can draw from the audience. Sometimes, I will require entry or travel for an assistant. Sometimes, we can discuss using local talent. It varies.
Do these rates apply to your performances as well?
Not exactly, no. Most shows require me to hire additional performers (except my drag king and burlesque shows), as well as commissioning costumes, creation and rehearsal of acts, prop acquisition and more. I usually ask $195-395usd for 2-3 drag/burlesque numbers or one 10-25 minute show (or 2 smaller shows) that have been done previously or are of a similar concept. Commissioning new shows, with additional performers, can run up to $3000usd, plus airfare, accommodations, and sometimes additional fees depending on what is desired. Let’s talk!
How much do you charge for work as an Escort or Dominant?
I ask $200usd per hour for my time as an escort or Dominant, with a 1.5 hour minimum. In New York City and Los Angeles, the rate is $300usd per hour due to increased expenses. My skills and my companionship are what I offer, not sexual services. Overnight, weekend, and extended sessions are available for an intense experience you will not forget. Overnight sessions are $900usd (more in NYC/LA) and weekend sessions are $2500usd. Travel costs and special needs are not included in the fee, unless I am local to the area at the time. Sessions over 3 hours require a 50% non-refundable deposit (but transferrable minus $300 per day set aside for cancelations 48 hours in advance) for my time, and sessions under 3 hours require a $100 non-refundable deposit. Complex, unusual and multiple Dominant or submissive sessions are available in some areas for an additional fee.
What about Kaseeka Training and other intensive training?
Every single intensive training, Kaseeka journey or extended experience is unique. Thus, discussion by email and phone are necessary before setting prices. I must make sure we are a good fit before committing to any extended work of this sort.
And work as a Shaman?
I enjoy my work as a Shaman, but only do jobs that I am specifically called to. Rates vary depending on your resources, and often involve some sort of barter or volunteerism in addition to any financial fee.
Can I hire you as a photographer, model or author?
Yes. I do commission writing (fiction, nonfiction, poetry and prose) from time to time, and still do photo sessions on both sides of the camera from time to time. Please email me with details of what you had in mind, and we can discuss what would be appropriate for compensation if the project is of interest to me.
