Conscious Energy Flow, Sacred Kink, and Gender Rituals
Hello beautiful beings,
I am just back from DC where I had the chance to officiate a beautiful black-tie wedding. With people from at least 6 countries in attendance, it was wonderful to see a blend of experiences that come together in one pair of individuals. There was punk pagan and foreign royalty, immaculate old money and modern queer beauty, older lesbian and young straight polyamorous energy all in one place, which truly represented the couple well. The joke from the groom stood though that the venue had likely never seen a group of people perform to a live rendition of Rocky Horror though, so accurate. Today is a two-day turn-around as I head to Kansas City to attend a family wedding and then off to Dark Odyssey! I'm be leading a number of rituals at Dark Odyssey: Fusion at the end of the month from June 21-27. I will be facilitating a grief and ecstasy ritual, a closing ritual, and my shapeshifter gender ritual. I will also be teaching two classes while at Dark Odyssey Fusion: Erotic Macrame and Beings of Faith and Desire. This makes this month deeply embedded in Sacred Kink - from hooks back at Camp Crucible to these Dark Odyssey events, private rituals within seemingly vanilla weddings to my own personal moments of beauty with my partner and beloveds. TONIGHT I will also be teaching my re-worked class "Arcane Dominance and Submission" for my patrons and "From Gender Dysphoria to Gender Euphoria" at Karada House tomorrow (see below). When power exchange is discussed in many circles of BDSM, the notion of power being literally exchanged is often glossed over or forgotten. When discussing transgender experience, there is often a focus on gender dysphoria, the distress someone experiences due to a mismatch between their gender identity and their sex assigned at birth. But what about gender euphoria and the powerful joys that can come during the varieties of transgender and gender-expansive experiences?
In this discussion/class we will look at the diverse types of dysphoria before diving into the power and beauty possible when we are seen in our gender or can find the power possible in the journeys we are on. Though this discussion will center on the voices of transgender, gender non-conforming, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals, people of all gender experiences are welcome, as well as partners and allies of those on diverse gender journeys.
