Han Solo, Magick, and Erotic Skillbuilding

Hello beautiful beings, This weekend I had the honor of co-teaching “Turning It Around: Switching Places in the Bedroom” with Ms. Cenna at the Virtual Intimacy Retreat. Having 20+ passionate people open up about their nervousness around sharing their fantasies and desires, as well as their uncertainties around how to deliver those desires, was really beautiful. One of the things we talked about was what I call the “Hans Solo Effect,” where people who grew up during and after Star Wars saw a leading man approach a dominant woman and do some toxic and yet sexy behavior.  Hans comes before Leia and says, effectively,…

Gender, Creative Education, and Bedroom Switching

Hello beautiful beings, This weekend thus far has felt like a blessing when it comes to education. During the at home encouragement/lock-down/pandemic I have decided to prioritize education, offering donation based weekly classes, teaching on multiple platforms for groups and conferences around the world, running online intensives… but also attending educational events. Whether it is going to rope safety classes with Shay Tiziano, taking a multi-month tarot series with Jade T. Perry, attending the first Virtual Intimacy Retreat back in June, or many other things – it has been important to me. I feel like as an educator I’ve been taking this time to level-up…

Emotional Fatigue and Erotic Negotiation

Hello beautiful beings, Today I am tired. The card of the day (you can follow here on Instagram or Facebook) was the Four of Cups from the Modern Witch Tarot, and it’s interesting how much I empathize with both the Contemplation face of this card as well as the Apathy. I am exhausted emotionally while simultaneously grateful for what I have. Tired of dream-time issues, tired of internal self-evaluations, tired from trans fatigue. Empathy fatigue. Trans fatigue is the feeling that comes from constantly teaching trans 101. From reading online about yet another trans murder, yet another celebrity saying we don’t exist, having to…

Body Mod, Fetishes, and 50 Shades of Perspective

Hello beautiful beings, Buckle in, this newsletter is a little longer due to some personal reflections. If you just want upcoming classes, feel free to scroll to the end. This week has felt very go go go, but in a deeply satisfying sort of way. Meredith Muse and I have been locking down the final details for this weekend’s intensive, practicing some of the magickal and intellectual technologies we will be using, and going through our plans to make sure she and I are ready to go. Part of that energetically for me was hosting a discussion yesterday as an…

Drug Use Online, Sex Magic, Consent in D/s, and Body Mods

Hello beautiful beings, In a week I will be hosting a 2-day intensive called Embodied~Erotic with Meredith Muse, and she and I are buzzing with excitement and last-minute planning. One of the unexpected things that came across our inbox from an attendee was whether drinking, use of drugs, pain meds or psychiatric medicines would be acceptable during the intensive. You see, Meredith and I have been including in the pre-intensive emails (including homework assignments) that when it attendance online, consider what you might have done if it was in person. If you would not have been doing something in person,…

Kink, Online Teaching Tools, and WAP

Hello beautiful beings, It has been a busy week of teaching (love languages, gender & power exchange, butt bondage, service that service), whew! I’m so glad that last weekend Ms. Cenna and I had relaxed time of movies, kink, and connection (which she touched on in her kinky blog entry), including her doing this beautiful tree cutting on the back of my neck. It was wonderful to have complete down time with her after last weekend being canning, canning, and more canning, as well as having the break before this busy week. This weekend will be about education for me from…

Service, D/s, Love Languages, Bondage… and Pears

Hello beautiful beings, This week has been powerful for me concerning Spirit. Saturday was Lammas/Lughnasadh, the middle point between Summer Solstice and the Autumnal Equinox. My polyamorous family came together that day and processed over 60 pounds of pears. There were two types of pear butter T(orange/clove base and cinnamon base), pear/cranberry preserves, pear butter, dried pears, and halved pears all jarred up, with Ms. Cenna and I in the hot kitchen cooking and jarring while the rest of the team cut, peeled, and prepped as needed. The day is usually about appreciation of family and harvests, and what better way than…

Body Magick, Age Play, Online Teaching Skills, and The Power of Time

Hello beautiful beings, I am so enlivened right now by this past weekend. Myself and 20 others took the plunge and dove into topics from relationship rituals to not feeling “enough” of whatever it is, the intimacy of vulnerability to the passions and turn-ons surrounding power exchange and authority transfer… just – wow. I am blown away by what this group together, and am glad that there is a spin-off discussion planned for the folks from the first Delving Into Power – so juicy. Thinking of intensives, I am *so* excited to let the world know about a 2-day intensive…

Humor, Sex, and Conscious D/s

Hello beautiful beings, I am nervous and buzzing. Excited and uncertain. Delighted and breathing deep. Why? Because I am launching into my first online Delving Into Power intensive this evening. Though I have been hosting these events since 2009, this is my first time doing so without everyone sharing the same physical room when doing the Work and the Joy of exploring our power exchange and authority exchange relationships and desires. I’ve been asked by folks in remote areas for this for years, but it has taken this time of pain and challenge to find the juice to do it.…

Conscious Power Exchange, Queer Magic, and Voting

Hello beautiful beings, This Tuesday, I woke up early and walked to the nearest voting location. The sun was rising as I reached the Shriners temple that had been converted for the occasion, getting the first place in line outside 45 minutes before the door was set to open. When a staff woman came out to check the distances for campaign signs from the entry way, I was sitting on the ground reading. She said she did the same thing usually – first one in usually means first one out. True, but that was not my entire logic. I had…
