Service, D/s, Love Languages, Bondage… and Pears

Hello beautiful beings, This week has been powerful for me concerning Spirit. Saturday was Lammas/Lughnasadh, the middle point between Summer Solstice and the Autumnal Equinox. My polyamorous family came together that day and processed over 60 pounds of pears. There were two types of pear butter T(orange/clove base and cinnamon base), pear/cranberry preserves, pear butter, dried pears, and halved pears all jarred up, with Ms. Cenna and I in the hot kitchen cooking and jarring while the rest of the team cut, peeled, and prepped as needed. The day is usually about appreciation of family and harvests, and what better way than…

Body Magick, Age Play, Online Teaching Skills, and The Power of Time

Hello beautiful beings, I am so enlivened right now by this past weekend. Myself and 20 others took the plunge and dove into topics from relationship rituals to not feeling “enough” of whatever it is, the intimacy of vulnerability to the passions and turn-ons surrounding power exchange and authority transfer… just – wow. I am blown away by what this group together, and am glad that there is a spin-off discussion planned for the folks from the first Delving Into Power – so juicy. Thinking of intensives, I am *so* excited to let the world know about a 2-day intensive…

Humor, Sex, and Conscious D/s

Hello beautiful beings, I am nervous and buzzing. Excited and uncertain. Delighted and breathing deep. Why? Because I am launching into my first online Delving Into Power intensive this evening. Though I have been hosting these events since 2009, this is my first time doing so without everyone sharing the same physical room when doing the Work and the Joy of exploring our power exchange and authority exchange relationships and desires. I’ve been asked by folks in remote areas for this for years, but it has taken this time of pain and challenge to find the juice to do it.…

Conscious Power Exchange, Queer Magic, and Voting

Hello beautiful beings, This Tuesday, I woke up early and walked to the nearest voting location. The sun was rising as I reached the Shriners temple that had been converted for the occasion, getting the first place in line outside 45 minutes before the door was set to open. When a staff woman came out to check the distances for campaign signs from the entry way, I was sitting on the ground reading. She said she did the same thing usually – first one in usually means first one out. True, but that was not my entire logic. I had…

Oral Sex, Power Exchange, Consent, and STI Resources

Hello beautiful beings, It was really hard for Ms. Cenna and I to have to cancel our appearance on Friday at the Virtual Intimacy Retreat, but my body was not up to it. However, we were able to talk with Dr. Hazel-Grace Yeats for half an hour about the topic (including am exercise from the class) in this podcast about Turning It Around: Switching Places in the Bedroom. For a general hour long discussion you can also check out Switching, Authenticity, and Emotional Fatigue we did with Reid Mahalko, Luckily my throat is mostly healed today so I will be appearing on the racism and…

Sacred Kink, Teaching Skills, Exploring Racism, and Merry Solstice!

Hello beautiful beings, Much love to you on Summer Solstice (or Winter Solstice for my friends and fans in Australia, New Zealand, and Southern Africa). Here in Texas we were blessed with a brief rain last night and the winds have stilled, allowing my Ma’am to be able to burn all of the branches and other material cut down around her property while I scrubbed the bathroom and did the laundry – this is the life of two sexuality educators sometimes. It’s not always writing, teaching, and intense conversations of the heart. I do, however, have a deep passion for…

Negotiation, Race, Polyamory, Power, and Divination

Hello beautiful beings, I write to you from my apartment in Austin, my partner napping in the other room, on our weekend a month where they are at my place. We are polyamorous, and they live with their spouse and child half an hour away, and their spouse has another partner as well. We’ve structured it in such a way that weekends are on rotation – one weekend me there while her spouse is at his partner’s place, one weekend with my partner here, one weekend where it is the married couple together (like it is most weekdays), and one…

Conscious Power, Self Rope, Negotiation, and BLM

Hello beautiful beings, Like many of you, I am carrying a mix of emotions. Around the world, people are taking a stand that Black lives matter, with protests, powerful speeches, important corporate stands, art actions, and more. It might be thousands gathering at a time, or one personstanding up because it is the right thing to do. These things are held in contrast to violence and toxic responses from national leaders who are responding to violence against Black bodies with… violence against Black bodies.  The world is watching us, and they are heartbroken. Angry. Journalists are being warned that it…

Update, Erotic Poetry Night, and Transgender Discussions

Hello beautiful beings! I’m going to be honest – even though parts of this week have been beautiful, it has also had windows of being a hard ride for my body. I live a complex medical reality, and some weeks are easier than others. There is such profound appreciation that I’m feeling this week from multiple people who rescheduled plans, helped encourage me to do self-care, and helped me figure out how to use my technology better for during migraines and other neurology challenges.  Thanks go out as well to those who were part of my weekly discussion where I…

Love Languages and Objectification Classes… and Reflections

Hello beautiful beings! The humidity is high in Leander, Texas, visiting Ms. Cenna for the weekend. If the current pandemic had not been happening, we were set to be at Camp Crucible. 300+ sexuality adventurers would be doing rope bondage, hiking through the woods, engaging in hook suspensions, enjoying human animal roleplaying, drinking by the pool, laughing around the campfire. There would be laughter, tears, orgies, storytelling, and delight. Instead, with the humidity, it feels like 99 degrees and we are hidden inside doing craft projects and I am reading “Queering the Tarot” by Cassandra Snow. Yes, Camp Crucible will be happening next year,…
