DC Bondage, Gender Constructs, Negotiating, and D/s

Hello beautiful beings, Just back from 4 days camping outside of Salida, Colorado, my skin still feels alive from the Arkansas River and quality time spent.  I am both nervous and excited about my upcoming travel for teaching “Speed Bondage!” in-person 8/20 at The Crucible in downtown DC (tickets available here), Crucible Weekend 8/21-24 in N. Maryland (a few tickets available as of yesterday), which will let me gear up for the rest of my summer travel. My travel schedule was based off of the “before times.” For those who have followed me for a while, historically between May and September, I am…

Heat, Polyamory, Objectification, and Auto-Erotic Play

Hello beautiful beings, I am melting. It is 99 degrees outside and in this beautiful apartment I do not have air conditioning. There is air conditioning in the hallway, so I pop open my door, point a fan going inside, and funnel it in. It does feel hilarious though. I am also feeling so loved though because upon hearing about this a friend is long-term loaning me their portable unit shortly… so blessed. In excitement though, today Colby Marie spent our first day in person working together as we began into the next chapter of my Beautiful Vistas oracle deck…

Gratitude, Cirque, and Altar Building

Hello beautiful beings, This past week has felt like such a blur. This week held more body challenges including more chiropractor visits, a new SI belt, and even a requirement that until the belt came in that I had to wear my corsets out – which led to some great gender queering. I get down on myself sometimes when my body isn’t agreeing with me, and then I stop and blink at what I did manage with the love and support from therapists, doctors, friends coming over to clean, vulnerable rambling to dear ones, and notes of digital support.  In…

Kinky Assignments, Community, and Gender Euphoria

Hello beautiful beings, I’m delighted to be back with my newsletter. My trip to Ohio to officiate was a success, and it was my honor to support my friends on this next step on their journey. I’m including an image here of their wedding cake, hand crafted by the father of the groom. The wedding was gaming-themed (though not distractingly so), and each of those dice was poured in white chocolate over a base of home-made cheesecake. I was able to don my 14th century monks robes and hold space for their vows that were truly their own.  Back to Denver,…

Problematic Artists, Community Volunteers, and Queer Play

Hello beautiful beings, Today I am feeling such gratitude for students, friends, and clients who understand that my health is a complex issue. Plans for sessions, classes, and play time sadly get usurped for 14 hours in bed and medications cutting only so much into migraines, and having profound thanks that my massage therapist can  see me tomorrow to get my back in working order after that much sleep. I have been having such appreciation as well for teachers like Jade T. Perry stating on their public pages when they are unavailable due to their health realities because it is slowly giving me…

Deep Magic, Daily Practices, and Switching

Hello beautiful beings, I am feeling so incredibly enriched right now. Having spent Friday at THRIVE BDSM and Mental Health Conference and all day today diving deep into sacred queerness and the ascent from the underworld at Waking Persephone – I’m absolutely blown away. Nourished. My cup is full… and there is still another day left to the weekend. I’ll be back at THRIVE in the morning and then sinking into Stone & Stang, for the rest of that day – wow.  Having spent the day in ritual, I am blown away by those I got to dive in deep with. I am truly awed by their…

Mental Wellness, Inebriated Eroticism, and Disability Resources

Hello beautiful beings, April 15th and the snow fell again in Denver, coating the trees outside my window in an inch of white and alternating between a soft sensuality and a vicious cold that blows sideways waking up anyone caught in the wind. This stands in stark contrast to the delicious sun and 70 degrees of last week when tank tops left tan lines on my shoulders. It holds up a mirror to my mood disorder before I did the “work” and learned that medicine can be an ally rather than a crutch or bondage that keeps me frozen in place. …

Kink & Disabilities (Video & Transcript)

In my Weekly Wednesday series, on November 4th 2020 we dove into the topic of BDSM and Disabilities. From personal experience and life lessons learned, we talked about the experiences and creative approaches to diverse sexualities for people with various physical, neurological, or mental illnesses and disabilities. Getting freaky, kinky, and exploring dominance or submission is desired by many people, and people on such journeys have unique realities in these explorations or play. In this discussion we talked about how having disabilities can affect how we do BDSM and other kinks – This includes visible or invisible disabilities, neurological non-normativity,…

Blessings, Sacred Kink, Switching, and Silliness

Hello beautiful beings, What a whirlwind of a week, wow! I taught 4 classes, was interviewed for a documentary on kink community, saw coaching clients, had the first meeting with my new personal assistant, and managed to get time in to see a friend. I’m tired just writing about it. No, actually I feel really blessed and energized, able to take on some challenges that life is presenting right now with more patience and calm (plus having friends be game to talk with me during an anxiety moment helps too). This week I also had a chance to do something…

Transformation, Disabilities, Leather, Teaching Skills, and Sacred Transness

Hello beautiful beings, Remember how last week I talked about how the Wednesday series can sometimes be draining? Well, thank you universe for blessing me with this past week! Wow. For those who missed “Mythologies and Beliefs About Transgender and Non-Binary Experience”… what an adventure. We had a mix of non-binary, trans, and cisgender attendees with a wide variety of experience and the passion was electric. I want to specifically thank the brave person who asked for permission to voice their anger about how they interact with and have (or don’t have) connections with queer and trans communities… and the…
